About the Missoula Police Department

The Missoula Police Department serves a city of approximately 75,000 people in western Montana, home to the University of Montana. In 2024, the department reported a 9.9% decrease in felony violent crime, with 36 robberies, 357 assaults, and 2 homicides. Theft and disorderly conduct increased during the same period.
